The Dadchelor Chalice

"A winner never relinquishes the Dadchelor Chalice. A champion earns the right to drink of it forever — until they choke."

Welcome to The Dadchelor

Each year, a band of brothers — husbands, fathers, and former high school athletes — converge upon a storied Michigan golf course for the most prestigious tournament no one outside their group has ever heard of.

What started as a trip to Treetops in 2019 to celebrate Daniel Harras (The Original Dadchelor, D-Raw, Dan-o, Liar Dan) on the eve of fatherhood gave birth to something in its own right — an institution, an annual summer fixture among friends, The Dadchelor Invitational: complete with the Dadchelor Chalice (beginning in 2026, the New Era), team bragging rights, official tournament records (also beginning in 2026), player announcements, and the kind of competitive fire that only comes from years of shared friendship, trash talk, and the occasional three-putt.

About The Dadchelor

History · Traditions · The Spirit of the Game

A Brotherhood Forged in Fairways

The Dadchelor Invitational was born from a simple idea: that a group of lifelong friends — now husbands, fathers, and reluctant adults — deserved one weekend a year to reclaim their inner competitor, swing some clubs, and remind one another exactly who the alpha golfer of the group really is.

What started as a casual Michigan golf trip has grown into a full-fledged institution. Each year, before a single ball is struck, every competitor is formally announced on the first tee — their accomplishments, accolades, and deeply questionable life decisions read aloud for the entertainment of the assembled field.

The champion earns the Dadchelor Chalice, the right to select the following year's menu, and bragging rights that must be surrendered at the next edition.

The tournament has been held at some of Michigan's finest golf destinations, with the field growing in size and competitive intensity with each passing year.

And then came 2026.

The eighth edition marks the dawn of a new chapter — The Modern Era of The Dadchelor Invitational. For the first time, players do not merely compete for Lil and Big Peen honors, for Look Good and Feel Good accolades, or for the right to have their biography read aloud on the first tee. They now contend for something greater: the title of Champion Golfer of the Year.

The Champion Golfer of the Year is a man who will be immortalized for all time — a man who has earned the right, proudly and without apology, to ask the question that echoes across every fairway, every green, and every 19th hole deliberation: "Who's your Daddy?!"

The Modern Era is ushered in partly through the power of artificial intelligence — bringing full website integration, live scoring through Bogey Golf, and a rich digital tournament experience that would have been unthinkable in the early editions. The Dadchelor has grown up. The game has changed. The stakes have never been higher.

Sacred Traditions

🤝

The Ronald Beach II Opening Handshake Ceremony

The Captains of Look Good and Feel Good meet at the first tee — a handshake, a photograph, and whatever trash talk is deemed appropriate. Then, one by one, each competitor is formally announced to the field.

🎙️

The First Tee Announcements

Before play begins, each competitor is formally announced — their biography read aloud on the first tee.

🏌️

The Opening Tee Shot

The defending champion hits the first tee shot. Trash talking permitted.

⚔️

Singles Matchups

Should the agenda allow, matchups are determined by team Captains following the penultimate round (preferably surrounded by trash talking from both teams). Any player is permitted to call out a member from the other team as a matter of rivalry, subject to the approval of team Captains.

🏆

The Dadchelor Chalice Ceremony

The outgoing champion formally presents the Dadchelor Chalice to the new champion. A handshake, a photo, and a speech is required.

2026 · The Dadchelor Enters a New Age

🏆

Champion Golfer of the Year

For the first time in Dadchelor history, players compete not just for team glory, Dadchelor Chalice rights, or first-tee bragging rights — but for an individual title that stands above all others. The Champion Golfer of the Year earns the right to ask one question, loudly and without apology:

"Who's your Daddy?!"

The defending champion earns the privilege to choose the food and beverage menu at the following year's tournament, and pay for said menu at his own expense.

⚔️

The Ryder Cup Format

Team Look Good vs Team Feel Good. Four rounds across two days. Fourball, Scramble, and Individual Match Play. The team with the most points lifts the Dadchelor Cup. Every stroke, every putt, every conceded hole counts toward both the team battle and the individual race.

🤖 Powered by the Modern Age

The Modern Era arrives partly through the power of artificial intelligence — bringing full website integration, live scoring via Bogey Golf, and a rich digital tournament experience that would have been unthinkable in the early editions. The Dadchelor Invitational has grown up. And the game will never be the same.

Tournament Lore

The Honors

Lil Peen & Big Peen

Lil Peen and Big Peen were the original team names for the first two Dadchelors — irreverent, perfectly on brand, and exactly what you'd expect. They were eventually rebranded to Look Good and Feel Good to be more palatable to potential trip sponsors. We never got the sponsors. We kept the names anyway.

The First Tee

The Announcements

Before a single ball is struck, the field assembles on the first tee. One by one, each competitor is formally announced — their accomplishments, their accolades, their life milestones, and their most deeply questionable decisions read aloud for the entertainment of everyone present. The crowd does not always believe everything they hear. The competitor has no right of reply.
